Individual therapy is offered to adolescents and adults. Therapy is a collaborative experience based on the relationship between the client and the therapist. It provides a supportive environment that allows clients to talk openly with someone who is objective, unbiased, and nonjudgmental. The goal of therapy is to work together to identify and change the thought and behavior patterns that are causing stress. The first session will be an intake assessment, during which the psychologist or counselor will gather background information in order to better understand the nature of the current stresses. Most sessions are 50-55 minutes in length.
